Instructors

Chris Chard is the owner and Head Instructor of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Center of Ohio. He established the academy in 2004 after living and training for 7 years under the tutelage of Black Belts Jorge and Pablo Popovitch in Ft Lauderdale Florida (www.bjjcenter.com). He is the first American to be awarded the rank of Black Belt by Jorge and Pablo. Chris has fought and coached at National and International levels.

Ryan Madigan is a professional Kick Boxer, Boxer, and Mixed Martial Artist and captain of the Center’s Jungle Fight Team. He is the Center’s Kick Boxing Instructor. Ryan is a member of the Oklahoma Destroyers of Chuck Norris’s World Combat League. Ryan’s fights have been broadcast on Sports Time Ohio and the Versus Channel.
